Beverly was a loving daughter and sister. After high school she began working as a secretary at the DuPont experimental station. She met Don, an Airman 2nd class from Wisconsin, in 1955 while she was volunteering as a USO girl in New Castle, Delaware. They married on April 28, 1956. They were blessed with one daughter, Sandra, in 1961. Through the years Beverly served and cared for others by being a faithful Sunday school teacher, caregiver to her parents and eldest granddaughter, and traveling to help Sandy with her daughters when they moved to Vermont. She loved to play with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you asked her or Don, they would both tell you that the Lord was the key ingredient to a happy marriage. She and Don got to celebrate 70 years of marriage on April 28th, 2026.
Beverly came to know Christ as her Savior at a young age. She and Don were very active in their church, and she deeply enjoyed Bible study and faithfully served as a prayer warrior. Although she faced many health challenges over the years, her faith remained steadfast. She longed to be with Jesus, yet until He called her home, she continued sharing her belief in Christ with those around her. She felt that sharing His love was the reason God still had her here on earth. Please honor her memory by placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by, parents, Marian M. and Alfred D. Twaddell. Beverly is survived by husband, Donald L. Gustin; brother, A. Paul Twaddell; sister-in-law, Joan Twaddell; daughter, Sandy Moore; son-in-law, Joseph Moore; granddaughters, Nicole Moore Ogden, Lauren Moore Carroll; grandson-in-law, Jesse Ogden; great grandchildren, Kayden Ogden, Kenzie Ogden, and Jackson Carroll; she is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
