I had the honor and privilege of serving with Billy when he was Chief at Miami Sector. He was an excellent Chief, a trusted leader, and an all-around great guy. He will be missed by me, and by many others. My condolences to all of his loved ones. RIP, Billy.

Condolences to Billy’s family, and his extended Border Patrol family that mourn his loss.  I had the honor of working temporarily with Billy, on a detail (TDY) in Laredo, TX, the summer of 1984.  He had a great sense of humor, and a reputation as a hard working, dedicated Border Patrol leader.  He will be remembered, and his loss is mourned.

We remember the support Billy and Liz gave to the Sabinal High School tennis teams. Thanks for taking time to root for the home team. May the God of Hope give Liz peace through the Holy Spirit that lives with in us.

Billy was one of those men that others are drawn to.  He was always  ready to help. Billy mentored me in the Border Patrol, but more importantly, he was my friend. Matter of fact he knew all the Ferguson brothers in the Border Patrol and supervised at least two. 

When he transitioned into his, I think, third career in writing he found out I was considering writing and he did everything he could to encourage me and point me in the right direction. He and Liz even came out to the ranch for a couple of days, read my partial draft, and then offered suggestions.  Of course we enjoyed some good whiskey too. 

Billy was a man to ride the river with.

I first met and worked with Billy while detailed to Sonora from Del Rio.  I had other opportunities to work with Billy in Del Rio and Uvalde. He was a true Gentleman.  The best word to describe Billy is genuine. May Billy rest in peace and my deepest condolences to the Kring family.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Billy's passing. He was highly though of and respected throughout the Border Patrol. We remember when Billy was on detail to Headquarters Border Patrol and Becky and I took you to see Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Virginia. We had a good time with you both. Please accept our condolences and prayers for you and your family during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to  Billy's wife  and all of his family and friends.  I first met Billy, as a classmate at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy, in Los Fresnos, Texas. Class #103, in October of 1973.  He was a nice, quiet guy and am happy to have met him.   R.I.P., my friend.
