He is survived by Elizabeth Wagnon, his wife, and his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Chris Lucey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and son.
Bob was born in May, Texas and grew up in Fort Worth. He graduated from North Texas State College in Denton and was commissioned through Air Force ROTC as a second lieutenant in 1958. Over the next 26 years he made 23 moves that took him to countries throughout the world including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Canada.
The acknowledged expert in fixed, mobile, and airborne radar systems, he put his expertise to use even after retirement from the Air Force. He worked as a consultant for Litton, Whittaker, Dyncorp and others, and frequently traveled from Washington D.C. to California to the Middle East.
His other passions included substitute teaching at the primary and secondary level while in Fort Worth, Texas, and being actively involved in his church.
