Carlos Alvarado age 84, of San Antonio, passed in his home to be with his Lord on August 14, 2002. He was a U.S. Army veteran during WWII, serving in the Normandy Invasion and a longtime employee of H.B. Zachry Co. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanita A. Alvarado; daughters, Alicia Alvarado Lira and husband Antonio, Marta A. Anaya and husband Richard, and Maria Paulita Escajadillo and husband Ricardo; sons Carlos Alvarado Jr., and wife Virginia, David Alvarado and wife Velia; thirteen grandchildren; three great granddaughters; sisters, Alicia Hinojosa and Elvira Reyes
