Carmen Gonzalez passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 93. Born on November 25, 1931, in Mission, Texas, Carmen lived a life rooted in faith and devotion to her family.
She shared 69 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Domingo T. Gonzalez, who preceded her in death in June 2024. Together, they built a strong and loving family foundation grounded in unity and spiritual strength.
Carmen had a gift for loving everyone she met, and that love was always reciprocated. Her beautiful blue eyes charmed all who knew her, especially at SeaWorld, where she held a season pass for the past 10 years. The park became a second home to her and Domingo, who were fondly known as the "grandparents of SeaWorld."
A devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carmen held deep devotion to our Blessed Mother and prayed fervently for all her loved ones through letters to God that she wrote nightly.
Carmen is lovingly remembered by her three children: Diana Arguello (Gene), Domingo J. Gonzalez (Cathy), and Debbie Silva (Roger). She played a central role in raising her grandson, Domingo N. Gonzalez (Melissa Manning), and remained a guiding presence in the lives of her grandchildren: George Eric Guerrero (Perla), Gene Arguello (Lori), Steven Arguello (Patty Gonzalez), Valerie Mata (Joseph Cook), Michael Don, Richard Gonzalez, Cynthia Silva (Landon Wilson), and Roger Dylan Silva.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Kazandra Cavazos (Jayson), Kallista Guerrero (Agustin Guerra), Katalina, Kamillah, Eric Emmanuel, Lawson, Griffin, Aiden, and Evan; as well as her great-great-grandchildren Tyler and Theo.
Carmen's life was a reflection of enduring love and steadfast faith. Her loving spirit and unwavering faith and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
