

Carolyn Petkoff, born September 6, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away to the Lord on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas, after a long battle since 2006, with a rare form of cancer.
She was preceded in death by daughter Carol Lynn, her parents Otto and Viola Meyer and sister, Eleanor Burton.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Peter Petkoff, their children Paul, Peter and spouse Elaine, Annie, Robert and spouse Susan, Mary and spouse Thierry Tremblay and Diane. She has three brothers, Jerry, Robert, Rick, a sister Gretchen all of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Randy and Jamie Petkoff of San Antonio and Ashley, Kaitlyn, Thomas and Leo Tremblay who reside in Dublin, Ireland.
A most caring and loving wife and mother, her great joy in life was volunteering in many activities with churches, schools and charitable organizations. Her entire lifelong dedication was helping others in need. St. Francis of Assisi's prayer depicts her philosophy of life. It was her favorite, part of which said: "For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life!"
Carolyn graduated from Columbia Heights High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1950.
