She graduated from Jefferson High School and Baylor University.
In 1939 she married Thomas B. Lee of San Antonio. They subsequently moved to Atlanta, GA in 1956 where she was living when Tommy died in 1977.
In 1979, she moved back to San Antonio and married an old friend from Baylor University, Dr. George E. Stewart. Dr. Stewart died September 16, 2000.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Thomas B. Lee, Jr. and his wife Penny, daughter Candy Obermiller and her husband Terry, stepson George E. Stewart III, stepdaughter Elizabeth Henderson and her husband Hardy. Mrs. Stewart has 5 grandchildren, 2 stepgrandsons and 9 great grandchildren.
