Catherine G. Cornwell, age 89, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2006. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard B. Cornwell; her parents; brother, George M. Gabbart, Sr. and sister, Mary Jackson.
She is survived by her nephews, George M. Gabbart, Jr. of Rockport, TX and James K. Gabbart of Corpus Christi, TX; nieces, JoAnn Sosebee of Corpus Christi, TX and Mary Kathryn Sowders of Beaumont, TX; and several cousins.
Catherine was a legal secretary in Federal service for many years at Fort Sam Houston, Randolph Air Force Base, Brooke Army Medical Center, United States Attorney's Office and a United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
She was a devout member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and a life member of the National Association of Federal Retirees.
