Cathleen Jones

Cathleen Jones, daughter of Mozelle Oden Guffey of Guntersville, Alabama passed away on December 29, 2018. She married Ronnie Jones on March 2, 1963. She is survived by her husband, James Ronnie Jones; brother, O.D. Guffey Jr; her sisters, Barbara Faye (JD Howle) and Debbie Savarie; sister-in-law, Sherry Harris (Danny); her daughter, Annette Rhonda (Joey Zillmer); grandson, Ronnie James Kelly; six nieces, five nephews, five great nieces, and seven great nephews; and countless friends and loved ones. Cathleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Glenn Guffey and Ronnie Leon Guffey; sister, Ima D. Geckles; and her mother, Mozelle Oden Guffey. Mrs. Jones worked for stars and stripes newspaper in Germany twice when they were stationed there. She worked for Air Force Village for 25 years as an accountant. Cathleen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks the memorials be made in Cathleen’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
