

Cecilia " Granny" nee Meuth Hoelscher went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, December 26, 2002 at the age of 89. She was born in Pin Oak, Texas On September 15, 1913. Cecilia spent much of her life working with thousands of children at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church for over 39 years and later at Alamo Heights Methodist Church. She retired more than once! She was "Granny" to many more than her own grandchildren and she was loved and cherished by many others as well. Cecilia loved to work with her African Violets and her various other plants, her most recent favorite being a "humongous" rubber tree she nurtured and babied. She met Raymond Joseph Hoelscher when she was 12 while she was staying in Robstown, Texas to help care for her older sister. She and Raymond were married on August 17, 1933. He and their daughter, Raydeen C. Hoelscher, preceded her in death. Raymond and Cecilia moved often during the first years of their marriage, finally settling in San Antonio after World War II. Cecilia is survived by her son, Joseph Francis Hoelscher, his wife, Carolyn McGill Hoelscher; her grandchildren, Joseph Francis Hoelscher II, Danielle Michelle-Marie Hoelscher, Charles Campbell Dangerfield III and his wife, Colleen Johnston Dangerfield, Travis Edward Dangerfield and his fiancée, Shay Jensen, and April Hoelscher Renberg and her husband, Ben Renberg. She is also survived by two, sisters, Helen Meuth Richter and Verna Meuth Petzold and her husband, Milton Petzold; two great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as a host of very good friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joseph Hoelscher II, Charles Dangerfield III, Travis Dangerfield and Ben Renberg
