Chad Miles, age 38, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 24, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Miles; Daughters Makynzie Miles and Hadley Miles; Parents James and Amy (Jones) Miles; Brother Brandon Miles and his wife, Regan; Nephew Noah Miles; Niece Emery Miles; Grandmother Martha Jones; Mother-in-law Debbie Riedel and her husband, Randy; Father-in-law Mark Helm and his wife, Patti. He was preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Miles; Grandparents, Jim and Betty Miles, Raymond Sanders, and Great Aunt, Nora Beth White.
Chad was born on December 17, 1982, in San Antonio, Texas. As a child he was always on the go and could always be found hanging out with friends that meant so much to him. Some of his favorite memories growing up were fishing with his Dad and brothers and taking trips with family. He was a devoted son and brother, always there to help, a strong shoulder to lean on.
After graduating from O’Connor High School, he attended Texas Tech University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business management. His time spent in Lubbock led to a lifelong love of Red Raider sports. If it was Tech football game day, you absolutely knew where you could find him. After college, Chad moved back home to San Antonio and began a successful 16-year career in the banking industry.
In 2010, he married the love of his life, Jen, and together they built a home with two beautiful daughters. Chad’s biggest accomplishment was his family. He fell right into the role of husband and father and loved fiercely. He was their leader, their provider, their protector. Chad grew up with only brothers but took care of his house full of girls like he wrote the book on it.
Chad was a whole mood, a whole personality. There are almost no adequate words to describe him, he was just Chad. If you’re lucky enough to have spent more than five minutes with him, you know this to be true. A once-in-a-lifetime guy who never met a stranger. His ability to tell a story and make people smile and laugh was unmatched. He was always looking to plan the next time to hang out with friends and family. He took pride in helping people and would drop everything the minute anyone needed anything. Chad loved life and all it stood for.
His favorite place to be was on the waters of the Texas coast. Though we struggle to understand why such an incredible man was taken from us so soon, we find peace in knowing that he is fishing with the Master of the sea now. We will see you again, Chad. Until then, your memory will live on in the faces of your daughters, the hearts of your wife and family, and the endless stories we will never stop telling.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
