

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bina Paine Bunn, two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hogg Bunn, the love of his life, whom he eloped with in 1948 while they were students at Stephen F. Austin University. He is also survived by four children, Lynn York JB, Lea Coffee Mark, and Chuck Bunn Ann, all of San Antonio, and Von Bunn of Austin; seven grandchildren Aaron Leah, Shane and Nicole York, Cristin and Clint Coffee, Kayla Coffee-Prose Fester and Corbey Bunn-Llanes Jon; and four great-grandchildren.
Charles served in the United States Army at the end of World War II.
He was graduated from Stephen F. Austin in July, 1950 and went to work for DuPont Chemicals in Victoria, Texas, in September 1950. He retired from that company at the position of Safety Superintendent in 1985. He was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Victoria where he served as deacon and elder.
He and Mary moved to San Antonio in 1991 and are members of First Presbyterian Church, where they have thoroughly enjoyed the many Bible studies in which they have participated.
A private graveside service will be held for family members only on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX, where his ashes will be interred.
