The heartfelt prayers and thoughts go to all of Charlie's family.  Charlie was a mainstay of The Ohio State Alumni Club of San Antonio and we have missed his presence these last few years.  We know he is interviewing Woody as we speak.  He will always be in our fondest memories.  OH--!

Our deepest sympathy to all the family.  Charlie was our good friend of many years.  We enjoyed  his wit and intelligence on our many trips and happy events.  We will miss him very much.

It was always a joy being around Charlie ,even if it meant I was working the rim at the Inquirer, not a favorite task with me. Years after I left Philly to become a sports columnist at the  Cleveland Plain Dealer, doing many  Ohio State games, we got back in touch when he said kind things inan email about a column. I had no idea Charlie was a Buckeye till then. Witty, well-read, generous with his local knowledge to a new kid from Texas, Charlie made me feel at hime at the Inky.  RIP, Bill Livingston

Charlie made a tremendous contribution to The Philadelphia Inquirer as a copy editor and a reporter. We fellow staff members liked and respected him, and enjoyed his sense of humor.

Charlie was a great colleague at The Inquirer, funny, incisive, positive. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I just learned today of Charlie's passing.  I enjoyed playing bridge with Charlie for the past 18 months or so and he has been missed greatly.  He was such a character with a wonderful sense of humor and kept things light at our bridge tables.  He has been missed greatly.  Praying for comfort to his family and know that all of you have wonderful memories of Charlie.

May God help your family heal from their loss but you will all be together again and what a glorious day that will be.
