It was my pleasure to know and care for Mr. Grohman these last few years. He was always an inspiration to me and others. He gave each of my daughters a dollar on the one occasion he got to meet them. May he rest in peace.

Dear Family, 
I am Robert J Grohman's grandson and went to high school with Raymond. I remember going to the ice house when I was little -- Uncle Charly was always such a nice uncle. The last time I saw him was at my Gramma's Hettie Grohman Friedeck funeral and he was as nice as ever. We will all cherish the fond memories of this great man and his generation. We are sad we hadn't heard of his passing -- we would have loved to have been there to personally tell you that you have our deepest, heartfelt sympathy.

I am Eleanor Domingue's daughter so Uncle Charlie was my great uncle. I was at his 95th birthday party. He was so alive and had a wonderful smile. I was totally amazed when he got up on stage and played his harmonica. I saw him at our last family reunion and while he wasn't as spry, he still had a wonderful smile. I am so sorry for your loss.
