'Dear Family, 
 Although I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Gurgiolo, I feel like I knew him. Charles told me so many stories about him. I could tell that he was a wonderful father and grandpa. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard it is to lose a father and I truly sympathize with your great loss.

'My heartfelt condolences to your whole family. That is a wonderful picture of your father displayed on this sight, I can definitely see the resemblance. He is in a better place and resting with your Mom, back in perfect health. I do believe, I have seen the angels! All our love, Kaja and family.'

'I remember Uncle Charles's contraption that he built which could send small electrical currents through your body. It was a very shocking experience!! Him and his family will always be in my prayers.'

'I have been gone from SA for a very long time, but whenever I came home, I always made time for our neighbor, Mr. Gurgiolo. Mentionable memories are like when our sister Virginia got married amd our new neighbors were kind enough to join us at the Centro de Artes for the dinner and reception..they both made a smashing couple! Our sister Virginia has since passed on to a better life, but am certain she,ll meet the good friends in God,s garden. May God give the family the strong family values Mr. & Mrs. Gurgiolo lived by. They will be together again in heaven. Take care, and peace be with you.

'Fernando, my husband and I will truly miss this wonderful man. We were good neighbors, living right next door to each other for over 20 yrs. Mr. Gurgiolo was a beautful person, always had a smile, always pleasant, ready to stop and greet even our great-grandson. The neighborhood will not be the same without him and his beautiful garden. We feel like we lost a member of our family. May he and Mrs. Lela be together in heaven. We are not in the best of health, but whatever we can do to make this passing more bearable, feel free to count on us. May God bless you all and give you the strength to carry on. 'My condolonces to you, Charles William, Roger and all your families. Please accept our thanks for all your family's kindnesses over the years. I will always remember your Dad and Mom as the epitome of what "Neighbor" really means. My parents moved to Austin last year as they could no longer care for themselves. Dad has no memories, Mom is disabled but quite alert. I will remember your Dad and Mom at our community Mass today. 
I work at Stonehill College, a Holy Cross college 20 miles south of Boston.

'Mr. Gurgiolo was always pleasant and smiled at me whenever he would say "hello". I remeber the first time I cut his grass, I was 17yrs young then. Two months ago I saw him working on his yard and I went over to help him rake his leaves and put then in the trash. I am now 42yrs old. I've know him for quite sometime and will always have fond memories. It brings sadness to my heart to know that he will not be here with us but at the same time I am content to know that he will be reunited with his bestfriend and the love of his life , his wife. For in the heavens there is everlasting life. I will miss him dearly as I did when Mrs. Gurgiolo went to our Lord. I wish them both enternal happiness and beautiful everlasting green gardens in heaven. My prayers go out to the family. God Bless.

I have such fond memories of Uncle Charles and the good times we had as kids visiting San Antonio. Every time I think of the Starlight Waltz I think of him. I can still play some of it. Leigh has learned some of it, too. And the early morning fishing trips at your pond are another great memory - especially when we resorted to seining! Going to Valliants I think that's the name was always a big treat. We got to watch C.W. eat the butter! Remember that?

'Will miss you, thank you for all your help though the years. You were always there for us if we need you. I know my in-laws will miss you not being next door. Miss seeing and talking with you.But the lord wanted you with him.'
