

He attended Drake University Alpha Omega Alpha-Nu - Sigma Nu-Sigma Alpha Epsilon, University of Iowa College of Medicine and obtained his Medical Doctorate in 1939.
He married his cherished wife, Martha, in 1942 during his service in the U.S. Army Air Medical Corp. He served from 1941 until his discharge as a Major at the close of World War II. He then went into Specialty Medical Training in Urology.
He practiced Urology in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1947 to 1950 and then moved his practice to San Antonio until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the American Urological Association; So. Central Section of A. U. A Past President; Bexar County Medical Society Past President; Texas Assoc, G. U. Surgeons Past President; San Antonio Surgical Society Past President; Texas and San Antonio Urology Society; Texas Medical and American Medical Association; Clinical Professor of Urology, U.T.H.S.C. at San Antonio; Consultant in Urology for 30 years at Brooke Army Medical Center, Wilford Hall A. F. Hospital and U.S. Veterans Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha, his four children, Charles Jr., Donald, Nancy and Terry. He has twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
