Born May 24, 1919 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia to Imre Rado and Appolonia.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna Weisz Rado, and two children Jim Rado of Austin and Clara Kettering of Dallas and their spouses Vicki Rado and Tim Kettering along with grandchildren Andrea, Jacqueline and Elliott Rado, Staci and Derek Kettering, nieces and nephews, Judy Steinberg, Robert Weiss, Joey, Robi, Carl and Marvin Jalnos, and their families, sister-in-law, Susan Jalnos and a host of friends.
Karcsi came with his wife and two children to San Antonio during the Hungarian revolution in 1956.
He was able to build a successful cabinet business because of his strong work ethic.
He loved his family dearly. He loved his native Hungary and spent many years working with the Hungarian Association for preservation of the Hungarian culture in San Antonio.
Karcsi was known by all who knew him for his sense of humor, his love of fishing and hunting and his devotion to his family and friends.
Much has been learned from witnessing the love that he demonstrated to Anna, his wife, as he adopted her family's customs and helped her heal from the horror of Auschwitz.
The pallbearers will be Karcsi's nephews.
The Rado family deeply thanks all the great care providers that worked tirelessly on his behalf.
