Charles Schmidt

Charles Schmidt, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 2, 2021. Charles or “Charlie” as everyone called him was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1947. He married his wife Ann of 32 years in 1963. He worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 40+ years before retiring. He met and made most of his life long friends through his work. He enjoyed deer hunting for many years of his life as well as him and his wife getting together with their friends and playing dominoes or going dancing.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ann, his parents John and Margaret Schmidt, brothers John Schmidt, Eugene Schmidt, Joe Schmidt, and Robert Schmidt. Sisters Margaret Winifred Weihs and Mary “Sister” South.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela Dickens and grandson Lance Dickens. Surviving nieces and nephews include, Peggy Jones, Thomas Schmidt, Ronald South, Durwood South, Margo Schmidt, Carol Schmidt, Madeleine Long, Pat Strub, Allenby Kay Roeber, Diana Weihs, P. Donald Weihs, Wanda Blandford, Kevin Caillouett, Glenn Cailouett, Elizabeth Symoborski, Barbara Feeney, and Mary Wendler.
