

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charmaine Louise Wall, a remarkable woman who was born on February 23, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas to Thelma and Lelon Cude, Sr. She passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Bulverde, Texas in her home with family.
Charmaine's love for animals knew no bounds, and she found solace and joy in the companionship of creatures great and small. Her home was a sanctuary for a diverse array of pets, but what truly set her apart was her unconventional fondness for buzzards. Yes, you read that right – buzzards. These majestic birds held a special place in Charmaine's heart, and she shared a unique bond with them that captivated the curiosity of everyone who knew her.
In the close-knit community she called home, Charmaine's pet buzzards became something of a local legend. Friends, neighbors, and even strangers would often inquire about "Grenny’s buzzards" – a nickname that affectionately stuck, capturing the essence of the extraordinary woman who cared for these fascinating creatures.
Beyond her love for animals, Charmaine was a pillar of strength for her family and friends. Her warm and welcoming spirit created a haven where people felt embraced and accepted. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and a reminder to find joy in the most unexpected places.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill R. Wall Sr; and brother, Lelon Cude, Jr. Charmaine is survived by her daughter, Diane Charmaine Woodward (Don †); son, Billy Russell Wall II (Susan); grandchildren, Billy Don Woodward (Stephanie Gutierrez), Amandalyn Hunter (Charles Ashley); Meagan McKay (Allan), and Shelby Wall; great-grandchildren, Elijah Wall, Averie Woodward, and Xander Garcia; brother, Tommy Cude (Beth Ann); sister, Lelo Beth Cude; and numerous extended family members.
