Chris, the longest lived of eight siblings born to Joaquin and Esther Cantu, was married to Noe C. Guerra for over 70 years. Together, they and their family saw much of the World, from the Far East to Europe, and much in-between. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister. Her beloved son, Ricardo N. Guerra, predeceased her.
Chris's legacy of love and strength lives on through her daughters Lupita Sierra and Criselda S. Lobisser, her son Daniel R. Guerra, and her adoring grandchildren who were the light of her life.
At the time of her passing, altogether, Noe and Chris were blessed with twelve Grandchildren, seventeen Great Grandchildren, and fourteen Great-Great Grandchildren.
A nurse by profession, Chris was a testament to the power of compassion and healing. Her commitment to her patients was unwavering, as she touched many lives through her work- many of whom were returning war veterans. Her career as a nurse was accented by her beautiful smile, gentle touch, kindness, patience and excellence- all of which exemplified her strong passion for her vocation.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we carry forward the lessons of kindness, resilience, and the love she embodied. Her strong spirit, forever woven into the fabric of our family's history, will continue to guide and influence generations to come. Her soul deservingly rests now, and it is well, in her peaceful passing, as she is welcomed into the hands of our Lord.
