After attending Brackenridge High School, Christine graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She returned to San Antonio and taught in the San Antonio Independent School District until her retirement.
Christine loved gardening and was renowned for her beautiful yard. She was particularly proud of her azaleas and tulips. When her grandnieces and grandnephew attended the Montessori School at St. Mary's Hall, she began inviting the classes to visit her tulip garden in the spring. This became a tradition and she would later visit the children at St. Mary's Hall and teach them how to plant their own tulip garden. She became affectionately known
as the "Tulip Lady."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Ressmann and Emilia Tietze Ressmann, and by her brothers, Dr. Arthur Ressmann and Robert Richard Ressmann.
Survivors include nephews, Dr. Ronald J. Ressmann and wife, Elizabeth; Kenneth Ressmann; and Arthur C. Ressmann, Jr., and wife, Ann; as well as by her grandnieces and grandnephew, and many great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
