Born on April 21, 1960 to Timothy and Rose Ann “Rosie” Griesenbeck, Chris graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978. As a business owner for more than 20 years, Chris proudly served the San Antonio community in all their HVAC needs, where he was valued and respected by his customers. Chris loved his family, classic rock, hot rods, playing darts, and collecting coins, trains, and trinkets; he was loyal, smart, charming, quick-witted, and kind. With his hands, there were few mechanical devices or machines Chris couldn’t rebuild or fix; and with his heart, there was little Chris wouldn’t do or give for those he loved. Selfless to his core, Chris will be remembered by those who loved him as a husband, father, brother, and friend who would give you the very shirt off his back, even if it were his last.
Chris is survived by his wife of 28 years Judy Griesenbeck; his children Ashley, Christopher Garrett, Timothy, Mackensie and Troy; his parents Timothy and Rosie; brothers Todd and Kenny; sisters Tina Novelli and Amy Guerra; and six grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “D-dad” and “Grandpa.” Chris is preceded in death by his older brother, Timothy “Ty” Griesenbeck.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 26th from 6-8 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary (1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212).
