

Clyde Keller Bearden, 95, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and veteran, Clyde lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family.
Born on December 21, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama, Clyde was the son of Clyde William Bearden and Bob and Mabel Abney. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bearden, and a sister, Faye Giambrone.
Clyde proudly served in the United States Army for 29 years. His military career included service during the Korean War and culminated in his retirement as a command sergeant major—an achievement that reflected his leadership and unwavering dedication to his country. Following his distinguished military service, Clyde transitioned into civilian life with equal success. He became a respected and popular realtor in the San Antonio area, known for his integrity and professionalism.
Education played an important role in Clyde’s life. He attended Bible College, where he deepened his faith—a guiding force throughout his life. A longtime member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, Clyde found strength and community through worship and fellowship.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Clyde was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Neva Bearden. Together they built a rich life filled with love and adventure. Clyde was a proud father to daughters Lea (Frank, Stuart) and Mary; a caring stepfather to Bob (Lupita), Diane (Terry), and Dana (Randy); and a cherished grandfather to Brittany (Stefan), Kevin (April), Jack (fiancée Naomi), Brent (Brooke), Jimmy (Emerson), and Cory. He also leaves behind two great grandsons, Eli and Malcolm, and a great granddaughter, Dolores.
Clyde’s love for family extended beyond words—he expressed it through action. A talented woodworker, he especially enjoyed crafting toys for his grandchildren. He and Neva shared a passion for travel that took them across Europe, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and many other destinations. These adventures were treasured chapters in their shared journey.
Those who knew Clyde remember him as a wonderful husband, a loving father and stepfather, and an enthusiastic grandfather whose warmth touched everyone around him.
A Committal Service will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemetery – Dominion, 20900 I-10, San Antonio, TX 78257.
