Consuelo Cisneros Vargas

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adela and Felipe Cisneros; beloved husband of 48 years, Domingo Guadalupe Vargas Sr.; daughters, Yvette Lynn and Margie Vargas and grandson, David Alexander Diaz.

She is survived by her sons - Domingo Guadalupe (Sylvia) Vargas Jr., Phillip John Vargas and Ramiro Rene (Bobbie Ann) Vargas; daughters - Anna Liza (Daniel) Diaz, Adelaida Alvina Vargas, Pearl Yvonne (Darach) Kilbride, Consuelo Carolina (Raymond) Esckilsen; grandchildren - Jaclyn, Ashley (Jonathan) Poblete and Domingo Vargas III; Daniel, Nicole and Damien Diaz; Jonathan Charles; Eric Vargas; Jake Kilbride; Benni-Lynn and Ramiro Vargas Jr.; great grandchildren - Allison Vargas; Matthew, Brooke, Charlotte and Joshua Poblete; Skilynn, David, Hazelynn, Kendalynn, Dominik and Donaven Hernandez. Consuelo is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends, all of whom were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Consuelo will be remembered as the beloved matriarch of the Vargas family. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and provider, Consuelo touched countless lives with her wisdom, love, and joyful spirit. Family was at the heart of who she was. She instilled the values of love, compassion, empathy, and determination in all those she held dear.

Her unwavering dedication extended beyond her own family to the many children she cared for during her 20 years as a school bus driver for South San Antonio ISD. Her nurturing presence and kind heart made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Though her absence is deeply felt, her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she loved.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Procession will depart on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 9:30 am for a Mass to begin at 10:00 am St. Clare's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
