He attended Highlands High School and was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He served a tour of duty in the United States Navy from 1984 - 1988. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Nora and Rowan James, brothers Phillip Hellmann of the home, Steve Hellmann (Bridgett) of Bastrop, Wayne Hellmann of Adkins, sister Nancy Iman (Robb) of San Antonio, nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Monday July 18, 2016 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. for friends at Sunset Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 19th, at St. Paul's Lutheran's Church, 2302 South Presa, San Antonio, 78210, Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
