Dalia Longoria Arthur

December 26, 1947 – July 25, 2024

Dalia Arthur, affectionately known as Dolly, was born in Harlingen, Texas to Pedro Longoria and Catalina (Castillo) Longoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Arturo Longoria of Crown Point, IN.

She is survived by her loving husband Harry Wayne Arthur, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, his 2 sons and their families: Joseph Thomas Arthur of San Antonio, TX, his wife Alma, their children Thomas, Joseph, and Maria; and Lawrence Arthur of San Antonio, TX, and his 2 daughters Tessianna and Guillaine.

Dolly's greatest joy was her two children and their families: Brenda Petrovics Wiggin of Round Rock, TX, her son-in-law Andy and her granddaughter Blake; and Anthony Mathew Petrovics of Pearland, TX, her daughter-in-law Cheryl (Morris), 3 grandsons and their families: Austin Mathew Petrovics and Anthony Mason Petrovics; Jacob Douglas Kryska of Friendswood, TX, his wife Madison (Newsom) and 3 great-granddaughters: Sloane, Stevie, and Scottie.

She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Irma Quillin of San Diego, CA; Flora Galvan of Shertz, TX; Sylvia Newcomb of Austin, TX; Graciela Fry of San Antonio, TX; and Peter Longoria of Houston, TX, along with all their families.

Dolly served her community at Kinder Care where she cared for and nurtured children for many years. She loved spending time with her extensive family, dancing, gardening, cooking and watching old western movies. In her earlier days she loved to ride behind Harry on his Harley Davidson. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Visitation will be at 11:30 am, funeral service at 12:45 pm. Burial will be at 2:15 on August 23, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209.
