Daniel B. Grassel

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a 30+ year employee of CPS Energy. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, practical joking, and passing along the skills of playing baseball by coaching little league for his daughters. Daniel also had a passion for history and genealogy, visiting historic battlefields and monuments whenever he could.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel B. and Dorothy Grassel.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Janice D. Grassel; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Alan Dayton, and Robin and David Waters; grandchildren Daniel Adam, Anaya and Audie Dayton, and Brooke Waters; sisters, Maureen Saldivar and husband Mike, Janice Grassel, and Linda Johnson and husband Bruce.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 7th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave.
