APRIL 10, 1969-APRIL 23, 2022
Daniel Arthur Keye, 53, of San Antonio TX, unexpectedly passed away on April 23, 2022. Danny was born on April 10, 1969, to Charles and Susan Keye in Miami, Florida.
After Danny graduated from Chaminade-Madonna High School in 1987, he served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a APR Aircrew Egress Systems Mechanic from May 1987 to May 1992. He later went on to study occupational therapy at Kaiser University. Upon graduation, he maintained a very successful career in medical orthotics and in building customized wheelchairs for patients with varying degrees of health conditions.
Dannys kindness touched so many, especially through his passion for his profession in aiding and healing others through orthotics so that they could continue to live their best life, free of limitations and pain. Serving those in need was one of Dannys biggest accomplishments and undoubtedly his greatest gift.
In 2000, Danny had his one and only daughter, Tyler Danielle; the pride of his life and the person who put the largest grin on his already infectious, smiling face. In 2007, Danny met his former wife, Deitre, and the two went on to raise Tyler together.
Daniel loved football and enjoyed the beach, golfing, cooking, and entertaining. Being around his friends was a joy to him and many have noted how he could light up a room, turning bad days into good ones for all he touched. Danny was fiercely loyal to his loved ones -- and to the University of Miami Hurricanes.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Tyler Keye; his former wife, Deitre Keye; his parents, Charles and Susan Keye; his brother and sister-in-law, Neal Keye and Kateri Little; his sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Luigi Landi; his niece and nephew, Sophia and Luigi Landi; and his stepchildren, Mitchell, Cody, and Max Wimberly.
