Daniel Montes age 68, of San Antonio, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Mr. Montes was born January 29, 1944 in Laredo, Texas to Reynaldo and Anita Perez Montes.
He graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, Texas and was also a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam War. He was a high school Math Teacher in the South San Antonio Independent School District for a number of years. The major portion of his career was spent working as an Engineering Technician in the area of maintenance engineering for companies in San Antonio.
He loved to Barbeque for family and all of his friends in the neighborhood. He
is survived by his wife, Consuelo Montes; and his daughter, Yvonne Rehlaender. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM Saturday, March 2, 2012, at the Porter Loring Mortuary.
