

He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife: Donna Nadine Rich; brothers: Robert Rich, Joe Rich; and sister Thelma Braun.
He is survived by his loving children: Daughter Becki Jacquemotte (Husband, Bob), Sons Daniel Rich, Steven Rich (Wife, Tammy), Robert Rich (Wife, Sandra), and Daughter Cynthia Breiten (Husband, David); grandchildren: Rachel, Michelle, Cheyenne, Cierra, Braden, Emily, Caitlyn, Makayla; great grandchildren: Luke and Autumn; sister: Catherine Brozowski; and numerous bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After his high school graduation, at the age of 19, Dan went to work for Johnson Controls where he served for 54 years. In addition to the years of service with Johnson Controls, Dan also served 68 years with the Local Union 142 where he was also the President of the Union for 20+ years.
Dan loved the outdoors. He loved to fish but his real passion was hunting deer and dove hunting with his children, grandchildren and friends. If he wasn’t at work or church, you could find him at the lease.
Dan was a lifelong member of Highland Park Lutheran Church where he served as a custodian, greeter, served on many committees and also filled in and preached on Sundays. Dan was a huge part of the church and devoted a lot of his life to it.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be conducted at Highland Park Lutheran Church at 12:00PM, Sunday, December 29, 2024. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00PM at the church. Following the service, we will proceed to Sunset Memorial Park where Dan will will be laid to rest with his wife.
