Darion Jude Hendrick-Escobedo

Darion Jude Hendrick-Escobedo, age 22, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Darion, the son of Margaux Hendrick and Stephen Moses Escobedo and stepmother Clarissa Escobedo, and Godparents John and Christine Flach, was born on January 8, 2001. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Moses Escobedo. Darion is survived by his sisters, Kayla, Allyssa, Maya, Blakely, Julia, and Justine; his brothers, Mikey and Domanic; his niece, Olivia Jane; grandparents, Ginny Moreno, Linda Escobedo, Ellen Hendrick and Allan Hagelthorn, Richard and Doris Hendrick, Michael and Dolores Rivera, and Butch and Pat Medellin; his beloved three-legged pup, Apollo; and many extended family members, including aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Darion was the best son, brother, uncle and friend that anyone could ever ask for. He was an old soul that only needed his guitar, fresh air, a fishing pole and a cup of coffee to be content. Love flowed from Darion so freely. He was genuine and pure and that is so rare in today’s world. We will miss hearing his sweet songs and tasting his amazing cooking. Darion was loved by so many and was the light in his family’s life and he will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.

Pastor Kevin Flowers will officiate. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. A Celebration of Life lunch will immediately follow the internment at, St. Anthony Mary Claret Church / Hubertus Hall 6150 Roft Road 78253.
