

David is preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Herrera. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 65 years, Marie Cantu; daughters, Diane Conkling and Deborah Jarmon (David), son-in-law, Ramon Herrera; grandsons, Michael Cantu (Tara), Westley Walter (Tawnya), Levi Conkling (Norma), Dylan Conkling (Brittany), Elias Conkling (Bella), Ramon Herrera Jr., Eric Herrera; and 8 beautiful great-grandchildren.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and reserves, then worked a full career in Civil Service at KAFB. He really enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his wife, family and lifelong friends. He enjoyed playing golf and teaching his grandsons how to play. David was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a family man and always put his family first above all, especially the love of his life, Marie. He taught his children from an early age integrity, honesty, good moral ethics and responsibility. He was fun and enjoyed taking his family on vacations, camping trips, barbeques with family and friends, fishing, swimming, teaching them to have fun and enjoy life. The values he instilled in his children is priceless and his legacy will live through them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
