David C. Curtis, age 85, passed away on, June 5, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 21, 1931 in Nashville, TN, to David and Claire Curtis. David joined the Navy after high school and attended University of Texas after he was discharged.
He worked in the family business of shoe making in Temple, TX before moving to San Antonio. David retired from San Antonio Shoes (SAS) after working for close to 20 years.
He spent his retirement taking care of his wife, cats, watching old western movies and was the past President of their Home Owners Association.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. Curtis is survived by wife of 61 years Jerry Mae Curtis and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any favorite animal shelter of your choice. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
