David served in the Air Force as a Medical Laboratory Technician. After he was discharged, he went back to school earning his BSN and MSN in Nursing. He worked as a Trauma Nurse at University Hospital in San Antonio, taught Nursing school at UTHSC-SA, but then he found his true vocation as Hospice Nurse and worked in that field for over 30 years.
David lived life at its fullest. He found joy at being a father and a husband. He was always there for his family and friends. He was a hocky coach, carted band equipment all over Texas, took the kids skiing and was in the middle of all their parties. He loved being a great-grandfather racing his electric wheelchair with Lilah on her scooter. He was a wonderful husband traveling the world to support his wife’s career. He was so pleased our grandson named his son Elijah David. He didn’t want us to mourn him, he wanted us to celebrate his life. He believed in Christ and knew we would meet again. Rest in peace my love.
