David Rios was a beloved member of a large and close-knit family. For over 30 years, he worked as an autobody mechanic, a trade in which he took great pride. David was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Spurs, and he found joy in fishing and trips to the beach. Weekends were his favorite time, as he loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, cooking out, and sharing drinks.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Petra Rios, his brothers Gilbert, Danny, Mike, Jay, and his beloved grandson Robbie.
He leaves behind his devoted life partner of 31 years, Rosa Sanchez, and his children Yolanda (Denny), Anthony (Mercedes) and Step-Children Manuel (Mayra), Christina, and Rosita. David was a proud grandfather to Dominique, Allanah, Destinee, Dangelo, Julian, I’liyana, Julia, Anneliesea, Manuel Jr., Matthew, Meah, Madelynn, Makayla, Mario, Ariel, Jesse, Xavier, Christian, Velocity, Jessica, Rosie, great grandson, Vyncinte.
David is also survived by his brothers Edward (Esther), Henry (Eleanor), Mando, Raymond, Peter, and Paul; his sisters Rosa (Joe) and Angelina (Bert); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A firm believer in God, David passed away on August 23, 2024, at 7:01 pm, with tremendous faith and strength. God called his beloved servant home, and though he is no longer physically with us, he remains forever in our hearts and minds. This is not goodbye but rather a "see you soon."

A visitation for David will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A mass of the resurrection will occur Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 1606 San Casimiro St, San Antonio, TX 78214 with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214.
