Debbie Swaim, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2009, in San Antonio after a brief illness. Her career in the oil industry spanned over 25 years, she was currently working as an executive assistant for the retired CEO and Chairman of Ultramar/Diamond Shamrock, Jean Gaulin. Debbie also served as executive assistant for Roger Hemminghaus, the former CEO of Diamond Shamrock. She was a member of the E.W.I. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Joan Barber. Survivors include her husband, Bill Swaim; 4 children, Brian Darnell and wife Shannon, Eric Darnell, William Swaim Jr. and wife Leslie, and Tricia Landgrave and husband Mike; 7 grandchildren, Marcus Swaim, Emily Swaim, Katy Simons, Kenny Landgrave, Cole Darnell, Lyla Darnell, and Carly Darnell; her stepmother, Pat Barber; 4 siblings, Beverley Collette and husband Stephen, Robert Barber and Trish, Sandra Erickson and husband Mark, and Mike Barber and wife Debbie; and 8 nieces and nephews.
