

Debra Magaña, a bright and vibrant soul, left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone she touched. Born on July 27, 1989, in San Antonio, Texas, Debra lived a life that was full, joyful, and accomplished. A talented and driven individual, Debra earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating cum laude. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and perseverance. Debra's professional career was marked by notable accomplishments, including an internship at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, and a role at Amazon, where she applied her skills and expertise to drive success.
But Debra's impact went far beyond her academic and professional achievements. Debra's life was also a testament to her love of beauty and creativity, as evidenced by her passion for movies, crafting, and creating beautiful things that brought her joy and allowed her to express herself. Paper Mache was one of her favorite mediums to work with and she was so skilled at it. Debra’s journey was not without its challenges, but she faced each one with bravery and showed her capacity for hope and endurance.
Debra was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and generous spirit. Her love of dancing and singing brought joy to all who knew her, and her stubborn determination inspired others to pursue their passions. She will be deeply missed, but we find comfort in knowing she is at peace with our Heavenly Father.
Debra is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Jo Ann and Meleton Valdez Magaña; her siblings, Mark Anthony, Crystal Ann, Michelle, and Monica Magaña (Raul Ruiz); her nephews, Ethan Ryan and Aiden Michael Magaña; and her nieces, Emma Victoria Grace, Lucy Violet, and Avery Elizabeth Magaña, Jaylynn and Mia Patricia De la Cruz, and Mila Ruiz. Her Grandmother Victoria Trujillo and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debra was preceded in death by her cousins Albert Trujillo Jr., Anthony Luna, Jason Magaña, her Uncle Gerardo Magaña, Grandmother Patricia Magaña, Grandfather Pedro Quijano AKA Meleton Magaña, Grandfather Gilberto Trujillo, Great Grandmother Francisca Medina, and Great Grandfather Luciano Medina.
As we celebrate Debra's life, we remember her sparkling smile, her generous heart, and her unwavering optimism. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, and the memories we cherish of her time with us. Rest in peace, dear Debra. Your light will shine brightly in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Debra will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. A rosary will occur Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207. An interment will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025 at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78226.
