

Dee Bennett, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 83. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 29, 1939, and made her home in Helotes, Texas.
Dee dedicated many years to her career, retiring from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983, where she served as an administrative assistant in Engineering placement. Later, she joined the San Antonio Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, where she played a crucial role in establishing the volunteer program, Yellow Rose Auxiliary.
Dee's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age and was baptized at Morgan Avenue Baptist Church.
Dee had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She was known for her fun-loving personality and her infectious sense of humor.
Dee's greatest love was reserved for the Lord, her family, and her friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Bennett, her daughter Cynthia DeAnn Kelley, her grandchildren Heather Wagner and Robert Penick, and her great-grandchildren Rachel Penick and Wyatt Wagner. She is also survived by her stepchildren April Jonas, Bret Bennett, Kirk Bennett, and Gene "Rocky" Sparks, along with seven step-grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by her father David Duncan, her mother Lucille McDonald, her son William "Bill" Kelley, her brother Jimmy McDonald, and her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Woody Woodcock.
Dee's memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed.
