Deede Fernandez

She was a warm, vibrant, wonderful lady. Deede was known for her engaging smile and her generosity in lending a hand to a friend in need.

She will be remembered for her bigger than life personality, her laughter and for her love of family. All who knew her, will miss, her endearing ways and devotion to her husband and the raising of her children and grandchildren.

Deede had amazing inner strength and courage in life.

Deede is preceded in death by her parents, Durfey Westbrook and Barbara Emory Westbrook; and her brother, Thomas Westbrook.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Fernandez; beloved children: David Westbrook, Evelyn Gomez, Michael Gonzales, Jesse Fernandez, Jr., Madison N. Fernandez and Robert J. Fernandez; grandchildren: Julie Ann Ovalle, Robert Taen, Christopher F. Hernandez, Angelina Hernandez and John Bradley Hernandez; sister, Michele Garcia and husband, Bert; nephews: Justin Garcia and Mark A. Garcia; aunts and uncle: Ann Emory, Jean Emory, Jean Emory, Jack Emory, Ethel and Ivan Ivanelli along with numerous cousins and extended family.

She left us with a legacy we hold dear to our hearts knowing she is now shining bright from above.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1st beginning at 5:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
