Derelys Sweet

Derelys Sweet, born August 14, 1924, died on March 8, 2013 at the age of 88 surrounded by loved ones. Derelys was a loving and adored wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her great passions were her family and playing the organ at Bethany Congregational UCC for 58 years. Feisty and spirited, she was quick with words of comfort and encouragement. She could always be counted on to share your burdens and cheer your victories. She joins in heaven the love of her life, Winfield B. Sweet; brothers, Buddy, Bill and Jack Doebbler; parents, Howard and Irma Doebbler. She is survived by daughters, Irma LaHomme, Kathleen Frye (Steve), Mary Sweet and Lisa Jackson (Scott); 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law. The family gratefully acknowledges the staff of Christus Sister Mary Hospice and Baptist Medical Center SICU for their care and compassion. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
