

Dolores Orozco Gutierrez, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, at the age of 89, at her home in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 25, 1934, Dolores lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories. She journeyed through life’s joys and trials with unwavering faith and grace.
She was a proud alumna of Providence High School, graduating in 1954, where she formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Dolores was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Fernando L. Gutierrez, for an incredible 70 years. Dolores exemplified the sacred bond of marriage, embodying its vows of love, unity, and most of all, devotion.As a devoted mother, Dolores poured her heart and soul into raising her nine children, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion. Her legacy extended to her 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who adored her dearly and will forever treasure her memory.
Dolores's life was adorned with simple pleasures that brought her immense joy and contentment. She had a quick wit, a contagious sense of humor, and a selflessness that touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether tending to her garden, preparing meals with love, or sharing cherished moments with her family, she found solace and fulfillment in the simple blessings bestowed upon her. Her love for travel, cooking, gardening, and watching her favorite TV shows brought her immense joy, and she delighted in sharing these passions with her family.
Rooted in her faith, Dolores found strength and comfort in the embrace of God's love. Her favorite expression, "Si Dios Quiere," echoed her unwavering trust in His divine plan, guiding her through life's uncertainties with grace and humility.As we bid farewell to our beloved Dolores, we find solace in the knowledge that she has been called home to her Heavenly Father, where she will dwell in eternal peace and serenity. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts, inspiring us to live lives of love, compassion, and faith.
Dolores Orozco Gutierrez leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
