

Donald Edward Moeller, born August 16, 1938, passed away on April 6, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 83. Donald was born in San Antonio to Alvin and Viola(Stowe) Moeller. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alton(Cookie) Moeller; sister, Harriet(Roxine) Pasqual; brother, Thomas(Tommy) Moeller. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice Wuest Moeller; son, James Edward Moeller(Sonya); two grandsons, Tyler James and Derek Joshua. He is also survived by several generations of numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was raised in San Antonio and graduated from Burbank High School in 1956. After high school, he served a few years in the United States Army Reserves. In 1957, Donald began his long career with City Public Service. He started in the Bookkeeping Department and made his way to a Residential Sales Representative where he stayed for many years until he retired in September 1994 with 37 years of service. After retiring from City Public Service, Donald began working at Retama Park as an usher in the club level until 2009.
Always together, Donald and Janice enjoyed traveling later in life. They took gambling trips to Las Vegas and Louisiana. They also took several cruises that included Hawaii, Alaska, the New England States, the Caribbean and Central America. Through the years, Donald enjoyed taking fishing trips with his friends from CPS and annual family trips to the coast with their best friends, Allen and Eleanor Mayer. He also became a bingo junkie who loved going most weekends.
But beyond all he accomplished during his life, Donald's greatest pride and joy were his two grandsons, Tyler and Derek. He would brag about his grandsons to anyone who would listen.
Donald was a loving and giving man, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
