Lt. Cdr. Donna Jean Cook, USN (RETD), 87, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 14, 2021. Donna was born April 29, 1933 in Strasburg, OH to Marcus and Hilda Uebel. She served her country honorably as a nurse in the U.S. Navy. She retired in 1971 to raise her son with her loving husband Jerry, a U.S. Navy Chaplain. They were married for 43 years before his passing in 2014. Donna is survived by her son Gerald Cook II, her sister Betty Carney, her sister-in-law Sally Cook, and many other relatives and friends who loved her. Donna will have a private graveside service and will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
