Dora and I were friends for 56 years. When we were bad we were bad but when we  were good we were living the life. Dora was competitive and hardworking; she was fair and always professional.  For a chick who didn’t have any guidance she was one hell of a woman to be reckoned with. 
She was as loyal as one could ever wish for. She was kind and always supportive. She had a faith unmatched by many and would be more than willing to help us get back on track with the Lord when we strayed.
She was one of my best friends and I shall miss her voice and most of all her laughter. 
I love you Dora. Take care of my Nolan until I get there and give Bob a huge hug for me. See ya on the other side. ❤️❤️‍🩹🙏😇

A woman of God,,  a warrior for Christ who will always be beautiful, who is a Guardian Angel flying high with the angels of Jesus Christ , went to be with the Lord on November 21st, 2025

My heart aches for family and friends of those people who have left this earth too quickly, too young;, but at the same time, it  gives me great comfort to know that Dora is in a much better place than where we all are, right now. 
 Prayers for family,  friends and all who had the privilege of knowing  her.

 I'm met  Dora (tootie),  when I was 14 years old.  I'm 68 now. The Bible says that life is but a vapor.  It's not HOW you pass on from this life to another, but  it's  WHERE  you go when you do leave, that matters. Is your name written in the Book of Life ? No doubt in my mind that Dora, her mom, dad, Bob, John and  Robert had alot of welcome hugs !!!  I believe in my heart she is up in Heaven, worshiping around the Throne of Jesus Christ and flying high with the Holy Angels of Jesus! 
May Jesus provide peace and comfort to all those who knew and loved her.
Her name IS written in the Book of Life without question!  She loved the Lord. And she even gave HIM glory on social media! 
Save me a space up in Heaven, Dora. ... hopefully,  next to your mansion where you are now...so we can say hello and catch up.

From my grandmother, to my legal guardian and now my guardian angel. You were an amazing woman who had the funniest stories. You were  financially literate, you owned multiple businesses. Incredibly intelligent and it’s sad that some people would never give you those flowers because of issues within themselves. 

Regardless, your love radiates through your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We used to have sleepovers and jump on the bed. Always braiding our hair together and painting our nails red❤️ We used to lay outside in the backyard and count the stars until I fell asleep on your lap next to the fire. Cancer sucks, but the slow days were filled with us holding hands and telling eachother how we always felt. I’m glad that I got to look you in the eyes and tell you how grateful I am for you and that I will find you in every lifetime. 

I loved you being my grandmother but im even more grateful that I found a best friend in you. My children don’t have grandparents on either side and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing them the love only a grandma can provide. This void in my heart can’t be filled by anyone else but maybe thats okay. Everytime I hear a wind chime, everytime I smell a campfire, everytime I braid my hair, I think of you.

Memories flash through my head like a movie, I tear up and smile. Grief for me is a mixture of joyful memories and sadness for the memories that can’t be made anymore. Thank you for the lessons, thank you for the laughs, thank you for the wise words and all you’ve taught me. I love you so much, I’m so grateful for all of our time together.  Whatever realm you’re in, don’t forget our code word 🥹🤞🏻  I’ll find you, just to say I miss you girl. My poor sweet baby, I love you with all my heart.

Your mom was an inspiration. Through all of the sorrows of her life, she remained steadfast in her faith. I am so sad to hear of her death, and yet, I can't help but rejoice that I will see her again. Jesus' words are still true: ". . . those who die believing in Him will live even though they die" (John 11:25). I remember your mom's boldness before the school board, declaring that they could not keep her from talking about Jesus. She was extraordinary. Praying for you and your brother and the whole family. We live in Missouri now but remember your mom with great fondness.

As much joy as we brought into your lives, you have brought into ours. We will miss you Forever ♡︎  Forever road trips in the van listening to Veggie Tales while driving to Bolingbrook with ghost in the window waiting for us. To the endless camping trips and Tiffy yelling “save the ribs!” In a down pour hehehe. To Min running into the tent rope and I think her name was Mandy but I did not like that dog. She was mean. To visiting the Dalmatians and waking up Jessy & Tiffy who had no idea we were coming over by charging into their rooms hehe

Mom and Dad couldn’t have asked for better Godparents than you and God-Daddy for Nessa and I. This photo brings so much nostalgic to happy times that night and crazy nights. If you know you know. But God-Mommy and the rest of the family were ready to throw down. We love you and we will miss you forever. This is not a good bye but a see you later ♡︎

My relationship with my mother became difficult after my father passed away. I tried to support her the best I could, including helping her get settled on some land of her own, but over time her health and state of mind declined. When I learned she had cancer, I made an effort to rebuild our relationship, but it was a challenge, and we were never fully able to bridge that distance. Despite everything, I’m grateful she has found peace where ever it maybe.

My most favorite memory was the 1st week of June 1978. I had Enlisted in Army in April with a report date of June 6th. Dora Jean organized a farewell party for me at this apartment upstairs and I still remember it fondly. It was a helluva sendoff! She was a giver and as real as a person can be. You will be remembered and be greatly missed, "Dora Jean"... 🫡

Dora Jean Ramos was my 1st Cousin who was always doing something. I remember her sitting by an ironing board and her brother Robert was ironing her hair...for a dollar. I missed those days in the 1960s, Dora!

My deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Dora was always so friendly and kind.  Although it’s been along time since I saw Dora . I followed her facebook.  I have many good memories of hanging with Dora  in our younger years .  RIP my friend.
