

She was born on October 31, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to Dorothy and Charles Meyer. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School and Trinity University.
She lived in San Antonio her entire life where she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, the San Antonio Conservation Society and the Republican Party.
Dorothy worked for years at The Little House of Books and then she became a make-up artist and worked under the names Face Place and MakeUp Mama.
She treasured her church, friends, and family, especially her granddaughters who knew her as "Granny D".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Charles Meyer; first husband, Hampton Brown Mauze', Sr., his parents, Elsie and George W. Mauze', Sr. and husband, Edward T. Hill and step-daughter, Terri Rodgers.
She is survived by her son, George W. Mauze' II and wife, Rhae Chell; granddaughters, Taylor Mauze', Dorsey Mauze', Leighton Mauze', Josephine Mauze', Meredith Mauze'; grandson, Hampton B. Mauze' III; step-daughter, Laura Hill and husband, L.G. Clark; son-in-law, Larry Rodgers and granddaughter, Alyson Rodgers; brother-in-law, Jean Mauze' and wife, Mary Ellen; brother-in-law Madison Mauze' and wife, Charlene; sister-in-law, Elsie M. Chandler; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
The family expresses its heart-felt appreciation to her many friends, especially Mary Heppes, Carmen Wasson, and Jerry Hill for all of their love and support during Dorothy's life.
