Dorris Ruth Rone, age 87, went to be with the Lord & Savior on October 4, 2014. She was born on May 31, 1927 to Herbert & Milissie McBee in San Antonio, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Rone was preceded in death by her husband, James I. “Doc” Rone, Sr. and son, James I. Rone, Jr. She left behind her 4 daughters, Darlene Strickland & husband Gary, Melissa Caddell & husband Rev. Steve Caddell, Martha Kizer & husband Allin and Cami Burnam; 6 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin McBee; sister, Patsy McBee; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
