Edgar Herman Koehler, Jr.

Ed was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was born in Bexar County and after years of work in Civil Service and living in several countries and cities, he returned home with his beloved wife, Carole Koehler with whom he now rests. He is preceded in death by his son, John Dayton Koehler, parents, Edgar Herman Koehler Sr. and Jane Applewhite Hodges, his sister, Betsy Kliewer and brother, David Koehler.

He is survived by his son, Michael Koehler (Judy); daughter, Betty J. Koehler; grandchildren, Mark Koehler (Tanya), David Owens, KC Broderick (Emilio), Chris Koehler (Chelsea), and Ashley Koehler; and great grandchildren, Hailey, Maddy, and Liam. Ed is also survived by his brothers, Johnny Hodges (Michelle), Steve Hodges (Chris); sister, Terri Hazlewood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended loved ones.

A service will be held in his honor on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 11:00A.M. at Oak Island United Methodist Church, 3030 De Vilbiss Lane San Antonio, TX 78264 with a reception immediately following at Dream Events Hall, 19579 TX-16 Von Ormy, TX 78073.
