
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Col. Jack K. Walker; her brother, Dan Carr; and her sister, Helen Miner.
Mrs. Walker was a longtime member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and the Kumdowners. She was a former home economics teacher at Alamo Heights High School.
She enjoyed needlework and in former years had volunteered her time and efforts to the Witte Museum helping with textile conservation and restoration. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed golf and traveling.
She was a member of the New Earth Garden Club, Dirt Dobbers Garden Club and a former member of the San Antonio Guild and the Ft. Sam Houston Center Women's Golf Club.
Survivors: cousin, Ralph Eads of Houston; cousin, Irene Stokes of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Mary Depmore of Cedar Park; sister-in-law, Louise Carr of Boston; nephews, Robert Walker of Dallas, Bill Miner and wife, Cindy of New York, John Miner and wife, Esther of Washington, Dan Depmore of California, David Depmore and wife, Sharon of Round Rock, Dan Carr and Larry Carr. She was also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alamo Heights Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
