Edmond Davenport, age 89, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. Edmond was born in Farmville, North Carolina on October 7, 1934 to Huber Randall Davenport and Hattie Mae Wells Davenport.
Edmond was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard and a daughter, Tonya.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Davenport; son, Edmond Davenport Jr. and his wife Nancy; sisters, Darlene and Diane and a brother, Francis; grandchildren, Eric Vincent Davenport, Timothy Wayne Davenport, Darrell Steven Davenport, and Daniel Kenneth Honaker; numerous nieces and nephews,
A visitation for Edmond will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 8, 2024 at 12:30 PM, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with a committal service to follow at 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209, with United States Air Force military honors.
