Edward Clark, age 81, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lynn, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories. Together, they built a beautiful family and created a home filled with joy and laughter. He is also survived by his three children, Keith, Ayla, and Brian, son-in-law John, his two younger sisters Suzanne and Virginia, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews who remember him as a loving and supportive father and brother, always there with wise words, dad jokes, a unique gift for making every gathering special and memorable, and a comforting presence.
As a proud grandfather, Ed (Pappy) adored his two amazing grandchildren, Creighton and Harper. They brought immense joy to his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, passing down his wisdom, silliness, snacks, professional handshakes, his famous duck call, and sharing in their milestones.
Throughout his life, Ed was committed to serving his community and making a difference in the lives of others. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love. After serving his country in the United States Airforce, he began his 35-year tenure at USAir. After retiring from USAir, he then made his way to NEISD, where he ensured the safety of all students. After 12 years he retired a second time so he could begin the most rewarding career as Pappy, spending time with his new grandson. In his spare time, Ed also dedicated his time to volunteering for various organizations, including CASA, serving as an airport ambassador, the Majestic Theater, and a Watchdog at his grandchildren’s school. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Ed Clark will be forever remembered and missed. His legacy of love, kindness, and family will continue to inspire those who knew him.
